EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENTERING ANON SPECTATOR MODE FOR DROOM "NAME-RENDER-ERROR" DATESTAMP &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& ---BEGIN TRANSCRIPT--- Adaline Guerra: Hello! Welcome to "DChat." Adaline Guerra: This preface may be updated as time goes on. Adaline Guerra: In "DChat," you will find a collection of "vignettes" (small writings, written like normal stories) and "chats" (written like what you are reading now) that, together, tell the stories of a lot of different people. Adaline Guerra: Everything is displayed in chronological order, and still being updated. Adaline Guerra: So, if there's gaps in the story, they will be filled in eventually. Adaline Guerra: Fair warning, I like to go back and expand on random points so my updates may not be chronological. But, the display order will always be. Adaline Guerra: Also, there is a point of view filtering system under the heading "View DChat as..." that will allow you to read the story from a specific character's perspective. Adaline Guerra: Anyways, I'd classify this story as lots of things. Horror, slice of life, drama, thriller, crime, metafiction, weird. Adaline Guerra: A large part of the horror, I'd say, is the harrowing banality of the types of people around us in the modern day. They do terrible things, push boundaries negatively, disrespect others, disrespect themselves, harm (or kill) others, harm themselves etc. Adaline Guerra: Let's all strive to NOT be like them. Adaline Guerra: The other part of the horror: normal people keep getting affected by others' actions as well as the meaningless noise of existence. Adaline Guerra: And sometimes the horror is ghosts, demons, gore, and fantastical situations. Adaline Guerra: It is a rather mixed bag because there are so many characters involved. Adaline Guerra: I used to have this story split into two halves, "Lighted" and "Shaded," but I found it limiting. It functions better on a point of view basis. Adaline Guerra: Admittedly, when I started this monster of a project, it was for fun. Adaline Guerra: I thought to myself, "What would it be like if I put all of my characters into a chat room together?" Adaline Guerra: "It'd probably be absolute chaos." Adaline Guerra: I showed my scribblings to a few friends and received positive feedback. Adaline Guerra: And then I thought, "I'm not getting any younger and I have always wanted to be public with something creative." Adaline Guerra: But, I could never figure out exactly WHAT I wanted to create. Adaline Guerra: Until now. Adaline Guerra: Thus, DChat happened. Adaline Guerra: Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, that's okay. On with you to other corners of the web. Adaline Guerra: If you do enjoy it, please spread the word! Adaline Guerra: Now, without further ado. Are you ready?
