It is hot in my demesne. If the me on the layer above must suffer heat, then so shall I. I took a pitcher down to the Pool of Possibility and collected some of its water. Not to drink, but to secure it within my manor. I do not want to struggle through this weather to gaze into the Pool, and so I conjectured that perhaps its water would retain some of its clairvoyant nature even when separated from its larger body. I carried the water into my laboratory, portioned it out, and purified some of it. Verily, the water kept parts of its predictive nature and purifying it allowed me to calibrate its outputs. I repeated the process with the other portions and adjusted them to different parameters. I have poured the purified waters into an arrangement of small basins. While the basins cannot show me the broader view that the Pool sees, they can show me specialized scenarios. For instance, now I can see the general directions and participants of a conversation, as well as potential romantic connections. While the Pool is wonderful to gaze on, it can be overwhelming. Taming its abilities, focusing the water on specific tasks, is advantageous. I will have to brave the heat now and again to create more particularized basins. However, I must also watch myself. Gazing into the basins is enjoyable and can distract me from writing. This is why I have been quieter as of late. That, and I am sorely ready to move on from a particular narrative and have therefore been disinclined to write. But, it is almost finished, I must remind myself. Lastly, I have developed a new method for the transcription of visual data. The process relies on my own figure. I find it rather appropriate. This will become clearer to you later. --- By Adaline Guerra
